My friends have been making fun of me since last summer, which was around the time I became addicted to supplements.

Girl, we gotchu! It’s not just about your hair & makeup, but for me, it’s about how I can help you look & feel your best and less anxious before the cray cray starts.

I am fortunate to get referred by @amandine_taravellier, a wedding event planner in FRANCE 🇫🇷 who refers her clients to me who are eloping in NYC.

…And 90% of them don’t speak English - Google translate is our best friend in those moments. 📱

…And most of the time, they don’t have help. We’re the help, and we’re happy to be there for them. 🥹💞

If I can make her day even more special by lending a helping hand before I run out that door, I’m doing it. Why? Is not like they pay me for that extra time. But the question is, WHY NOT?

I will never understand anyone who ever replies with, “that’s not my job.”

Plus, I got CBT in ‘Cuse 🍊 with @sualumniofcolor this weekend so I need to warm up them hips for strolling with my 🌻 from @omegaphibeta on campus! It’s been years.

So if I can’t make it to the gym, I gotta get it in 💪 anyway I can even if that means in my sala at home.

3 things we appreciate you do before your MUA & Hair Stylist arrive:

1️⃣ We normally ask for clean & dry hair. In most cases, (depending on the texture) we would prefer you to wash your hair the night before or 2 nights before with NO 🚫 hair product - let us do that for you! It can negatively impact the heat styling.

2️⃣ Retinol promotes cell turnover & can bulldoze 🛻 its way in to your layers of dead skin cells just hanging out, break them up, and start to repair them.

3️⃣ Get a good nights rest! 😴 Puh-leeeease!!!! It will make all the difference in the world, especially under the eyes!!!!

Everyone’s talking about reverse contour today & we all have our own techniques…

But before I go there, how hawt 🔥 does my girl Chris look!!!!

So yeah, reverse contour: it’s always how I’ve done makeup since I began this journey in 2005.

How Sway?

1️⃣ CHOOSE YOUR FORMULA (liquid, cream, powder can all be used interchangeably) 🎨 though in this photo I used AIRBRUSHED makeup since it’s my preference.

2️⃣ START WITH CONTOUR - apply around the perimeter of your face (forehead to jaw) under cheekbones, and sides of nose 👃 if your goal is to “thinnify” it.

3️⃣ USE 2 FOUNDATIONS - ✌🏼 this may be shocking for some, but my contour shade is the actual skin shade and the inner face is a shade 1 or 2 shades lighter. You won’t believe the magic this creates!

HOW I CLEAN BRUSHES:

After each makeup job, my used brushes AND makeup get thrown in a ziplock separate from my kit for a good clean up.

The struggle be real when I’m tired, BUT…

as soon as I get home, I clean 🧽 🫧 my bushes with my fave brush cleaner by @itcosmetics and sanitize with alcohol!

And every week, they get deeply cleansed with the IT Cosmetics 🧼 bar.

Even my personal at-home brushes get deeply cleansed 1x a week - or else, I breakout from accumulated bacteria. 🦠

Oh, and Lesson learned: NEVER EVER throw them in the dish washer! 🤦‍♀️ ❌🙅🏼‍♀️

When it comes to bringing a photo 📱 of inspiration 👉 few things to note:

1️⃣ Most makeup pics you’ll find on Pinterest are filtered with no texture (do you see any pores here? Nope!) So you’re skin won’t look like that.

Are you that girl! 😭 Listen, don’t feel bad, it happens, but if you do have sensitive eyes, here’s what you should do:

✨ Dealing with sensitive eyes 🥹can be tricky, but here are 5 tips to keep your makeup looking flawless throughout our time together: ✨

1️⃣. **Communicate Early**: Let me/your makeup artist know about your sensitivity ahead of time so we can start planning ahead how we’ll adjust your look and what to avoid. 🗣️

2️⃣. **Prep Properly**: Use eye drops before your appointment to reduce dryness and irritation. 🌵

3️⃣. **Avoid Tightlining**: Skip eyeliner on the waterline to minimize irritation. (I know it’s not everyone’s favorite solution but it will drastically minimize the chance of your eye running.) 1️⃣. **Communicate Early**: Let me/your makeup artist know about your sensitivity ahead of time so we can start planning ahead how we’ll adjust your look and what to avoid. 🗣️

2️⃣. **Prep Properly**: Use eye drops before your appointment to reduce dryness and irritation. 🌵

3️⃣. **Avoid Tightlining**: Skip eyeliner on the waterline to minimize irritation. (I know it’s not everyone’s favorite solution but it will drastically minimize the chance of your eye running.)
