I tend to remind folks that I’m a makeup artist, not a magician. While I love you all, it takes two to create the perfect look, and with your help, the client’s, I can do just that!

Here‘s a quick guide to how to prep your face, hair and skin before your appointment with us.

Cardi's latest music video, WAP, featuring Megan Thee Stallion, dropped a little over 12 hours ago. The makeup, hair, wardrobe, concept, cameos...wow! If you haven't seen it, what are you waiting for?

Sure, Cardi B is no rookie to colorful raunchy videos, but this post isn't about that. Whether you're a fan or not, there's one thing my circle and followers could all agree on: the makeup is beautiful and the hair changes, 7 of them to be exact, were eye-gazing. To add, there were 9 manicure looks in this music video - yeah, they were not playing!

While it's no surprise Cardi B. hired her go-to makeup artist, Erika La' Pearl, and wig guru, Tokyo Stylez, who both killed it - I can appreciate that Megan actually hired HERSELF...she did her own makeup for this video, and it's not the first time. The girl could have totally been a makeup artist.

Megan's white tiger wig was a collabo by hair stylist Kellon Deryck and Guy Tang, creator of GuyTang Collage Powder, using Dark Shadows and tone 10SS. This may only make sense to my hair stylist friends, but who cares, this was hot!

And if that wasn't enough beauty to grace your screens, the simplicity of the makeup on the cameos you may have noticed were really pretty. They included Kylie Jenner, Rosalía, Mulatto, Rubi Rose, and Sukihana. But my fave cameo was Normani (of Fifth Harmony) who's look paid homage to Supermodel Naomi Campbell. Normani's houndstooth print, actually, a fave print of mine as a child, was similar to Naomi's Alaïa's S/S 1991 TATI collection.

Gosh, I've been spending so much time indoors focusing on my business that I neglected my - dare I say it - skin care last month. As someone who does wear makeup regularly, this is a no no! I pulled out all of my favorite jars of masks and put them in areas that served their purposes. Did you know that you can apply more than one mask in different areas of your face for different benefits? While the purpose of most masks is to help remove weekly impurities, many have multiple additional benefits.
